Memorial Day - Thanks to those who died serving our country.

Today is May 30th, Memorial Day. Today is a day of remembrance of those who died serving our proud country. I would just like to thank all the people's families, and wish their spirits good luck. I, with family in the military, hope that no one in the near future should receive a folded flag. There isn't really much to say, but thank you. Thanks again for those who died for this country, and thank you to those who remember them.

The Hangover Part 2 - Best Comedy of 2011?

Just got back from watching what would probably be the best comedy movie of all 2011. The Hangover 2 was as great as the first one was. The movie had everything from bad prostitutes to drug dealing monkeys. Even though it has a similar plot to the first one, it doesn't like it'll get old any time soon.

In The Hangover Part II, Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu's wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don't always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can't even be imagined.

This synopsis was straight from RottenTomatoes. Their review of The Hangover 2 really surprises me. This movie definitely doesn't deserve a measly 35%. I believe that this is a must see movie that EVERYONE needs to watch. You are guaranteed to laugh throughout this 1 hour 42 minute comedy ride. Not a minute goes by without a good laugh. The Hangover 2 had the same charm as the first hangover, and in my opinion it was actually better. This is a must watch movie that is a great way to start the Summer season. I give this movie 4 out of 4 stars. Thanks for reading, Christian.

The Witcher 2: Assassination of Kings going multiplatform!?

I've recently gotten hooked on wanting The Witcher 2 after following this Let's Play series. The opportunity to slay mythical creatures, defeat dragons, and have special powers is just too much to pass up. Since I my computer is too crappy to play any high end PC games, I've spent an hour scouring the internet about The Witcher 2 being released on consoles.

At first I was disappointed after reading about a failed port for the first Witcher called The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf. Then after a couple articles, I found one where it briefly talks about the producers revealing that The Witcher 2 would be heading to consoles. One article I remember reading in, but forgot the link to, said that the console version would release about 4 months after the PC version. Since PC version was released on May 17th, 4 months would put the console release date at around the beginning of the 4th quarter of 2011. Those RPG enthusiasts who don't own gaming computers like me, would have to hope for the best this coming Fall, and for everyone else, there will also be many amazing titles due for release this Fall season. Be sure to get your copy of The Witcher 2, here.

Playstation Network compenstation

It has already been about 2 days since I've heard of this PSN Customer Appreciation Program that Sony has cooked up to compensate for about a month of server down time.

These are some of the "gifts" the program offers:
  • You get the option of 2 PS3 games from 5:
              -Dead Nation
              -InFAMOUS
              -LittleBigPlanet
              -Super Stardust HD
              -Wipeout HD + Fury
  • If you have a PSP, you get the option of 2 games from this list of 4:
              -LittleBigPlanet(PSP)
              -ModNation Racers
              -Pursuit Force
              -Killzone Liberation
  • There will be some free movie rentals that will be offered in the PSN Store, but as of now, no further information about the movie rentals are available. These movie rentals will be available over one weekend.
  • Sony is offering a 30 free trial of Playstation Plus for people who aren't already subscribed to the service.
  • People who are already Plus members will get an extra 60 days added to their subscription.
These were taken from the official Playstation Blog here. I am pretty excited to try out the life of a Plus member. Who knows, I might end up extending my subscription. Besides the Plus membership, the 2 games I would be choosing out of the list would definitely be Dead Nation and InFAMOUS. I already have LittleBigPlanet, and the other two games don't seem very appealing to my tastes. I won't be picking any PSP games seeing that I don't own one anymore. It was very surprising that Sony is actually offering games that are worth more than a couple bucks. Even though I'll receive 2 free games, and a Plus membership out of this whole ordeal, it still won't keep me occupied all summer long.
